The first thing that I would recommend that you
do, is go to the Practice
Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper
piecing, come on back and try a Rhode Island Block! You will need to print
out one copy of the template A and B and C pages per block you want to
make on very lightweight paper. You will also need to cut four
4-1/2" squares of back ground fabric! |

Once your units are paper pieced, make four
units as shown at left...

Join the remaining paper pieced units as shown
at left to make the block's center...
|

...and using the units you just made, plus the
four background squares, make three rows, pressing rows in alternate
directions. Sew the rows together, and there's block one! :o)
