The first thing that I would recommend that you do,
is go to the Practice
Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper
piecing, come on back and try an On a Clear Night Block! You will need to print out
four copies of the template page per block you want to make on very
lightweight paper. You also need one 2-1/2" center square.
Fat Quarters will be fine! |

After all units are paper pieced, lay them out as
shown at left. Sew three horizontal rows, with the extra 2-1/2"
square in the center. Join the rows to finish your On a Clear Night
Block! |

Here, on its side, is a quilt of four blocks by
five. You'll notice that I added colors, and rearranged color
placement within many blocks, for added depth and spark!
