The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Not Too Fussy! Block! You will need to print out one copy of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper.

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Start by sewing the Color 1 and Color 2  1-1/2" x 12" strips right sides together along one long edge in a 1/4" seam allowance. Press to the dark side, then mark and cut this unit at 1-1/2" intervals...

Sew pairs of the new units together to make four Four Patch units for the block's corners. These should measure 2-1/2" square at this point...

Next paper piece your side and middle vertical units. Lay everything out as shown at left. Sew corner Four Patches to the ends of the two side pieced rectangles. Now sew the sides to the center unit, and it's all done! See? That wasn't too fussy at all! :o)

...on to Page 2!
