Cut the Color 1 and Color 2 3-7/8" x 15-1/2" strips into four 3-7/8" squares of each. Stack these and cut them once on the diagonal to make eight of each color... |

Cut the Color 1 and Color 2 6-7/8" squares in half once on the diagonal to make two half square triangles of each... |

Sew the small half square triangles together in pairs as shown at left, using a scant 1/4" seam allowance( now and throughout the block making). Press seams to darker sides. Trim to measure 3-1/2" if needed. Make eight units like this... |

Next sew the large half square triangles together in pairs as shown at left. Press seams to darker sides. Trim to measure 6-1/2" if needed. Make two units like this... |

To make the upper left and lower right corner units, sew together four small half squares as shown at left. You will be making two of these...on to Page 2! |
