This makes a 9" block and is paper pieced!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Machu Picchu Star! You will need to print out two copies of the template A page and one copy of the template B page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat Quarters will be fine!

After your units are paper pieced lay them out as shown at left. Sew them into three horizontal rows, and then join those rows to complete the block!

 Shown here on it's side is a four block by five block quilt, with pieced border :o)
