Now sew vertical rows of units, starting with a  top unit at the top, and adding units below it 'til it is the length you desire. End the row with a bottom unit. Now cut long strips of fabric to go between your rows of pieced blocks. This can be any width you like, though they may look better if they are in some proportional relationship to the width of the pieced rows.( Same Width...Once and a half as wide...Twice as wide, etc) 

 

All together it makes a wonderful strippy quilt!
