** Preparing the
Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

Stack
your rows of colors one, two and three strips, and using a rotary cutter, cut these
together into 3 7/8ths" squares...
|

Then,
after stacking like colored squares, lightly mark a diagonal line on the top
square, and again using a rotary cutter, cut these together on the diagonal into
triangles, being careful not to stretch fabrics...
|

 |
Sewing
on the diagonal and using SCANT 1/4" seams, piece together eight squares of Colors 1
and 2, four squares of Colors 2 and 3, and four squares of Colors 1 and 3. Be careful
not to stretch fabrics! Press seams towards darker fabrics...on to
