We'll piece this one the
old fashioned way, just to make sure we don't forget how :o)...and yes,
that's an old
fashioned rotary cutter... :o) This
makes a 12" block! |

** Preparing the
Pieces** |
|
|
Lay the Color 2 strip atop the Color 1
strip, and with a rotary cutter cut these two together into ten 2-1/2" squares... |
|
|
Using a 1/4" seam, sew these
2-1/2" squares together to make five four patch squares... |
|
|
Stack the 4-7/8' squares and using the
rotary cutter, cut them together on the diagonal... |
|
|
Using a 1/4" seam, sew
one Color 1 triangle to one Color 2 triangle...being careful not to
stretch fabric. Press seam to darker side. Repeat this with remaining
triangles to make four half squares. If needed, square these off to be
4-1/2" squares...now...on
