** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Cut the Color 1 and Color 2  1-1/2" x 5" strips into two 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" rectangles...

Using the templates provided, cut two larger triangles from the Colors 1 and 2  4-1/2" x 8" rectangles. Cut eight smaller triangles from the Color 3  6" x 18" rectangle...

To speed piece the corner square units, stack a Color 3 and Color 1  3-7/8" square right sides together and all edges aligned. Draw in the diagonal on the back of the Color 3 square. Sew a scant 1/4" on each side of the drawn line. Cut apart on the drawn line to get two half squares. Press seams to darker side. Trim to measure 3-1/2" if needed. Repeat this with the other Color 3, and the Color 2  3-7/8" squares...

Now piece the side units by sewing the Color 3 template cut triangles to the sides of the Colors 1 and 2 template cut triangles. Make two of each color arrangement...on to Page 2!
