Start by sewing a Color 2 2-1/2" square to a Color 3 6-1/2" strip, right sides together, using a scant 1/4" seam. Add another
Color 3 6-1/2" strip to the Color 2 square. Press seam allowances towards the
outer strips. Make two of these units... |

Next sew a Color 2 6-1/2" strip to a Color 3 4-1/2"
strip, then add another Color 3 4-1/2" strip. Press seam allowances towards the
inner strips. Make two of these units...

Now sew a Color 2 10-1/2" strip to a Color 3 2-1/2"
square. Add another Color 3 2-1/2" square to the other end. Press seam
allowances towards the outer strips. Make two of these units...

Then sew a Color 1 2-1/2" square to one end of a Color 2
6-1/2" strip. Add another Color 2 6-1/2" strip to the other side of the
square. Press seam allowances towards the inner strips...on to Page
2!
