Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

Start by marking your Color 1
7" x 21" strip into twelve 3- 1/2" squares. Use ANY
fabric for Color 1... |

Then sew the Color 2 and Color
3 2" x 20" strips, right sides together along the
long edge, using a SCANT 1/4" seam. Press the seam allowance
towards the darker fabric. Mark at cut this at 2" intervals to
make eight two color units. Use ANY light and dark for Colors
2&3.. |

Sew pairs of these two color
units to make four four-patch units... |

Now piece the block, by making
rows as shown at left!
