Now paper piece your units, and when they are done, lay everything out as shown at left. Sew three horizontal rows, again using scant 1/4" seams, pressing the row seams of the top and bottom rows to the center, and the middle row seam to the outside. Join the rows, and the block is done!

Here are four blocks by five with a pieced Square-in square border!
