If you will be paper piecing the side units and need help with that method, the first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.   You will need to print out two copies of the Paper Piecing template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper.

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

* If you will be paper piecing the side units, you may skip this step.

Otherwise, using the Regular piecing templates provided templates cut eight long triangles in the layout pictures for the Color 5   9" x 19" strip.

Next again using the regular piecing templates, cut four Color 1 equilateral triangles from the 5" x 12" strip...

Now cut the Color 3 and Color 4  2-1/2" x 10" strips into four 2-1/2" squares of each.

Then cut the Color 5  2-1/2" x  30" strip into twelve 2-1/2" squares...

Cut the Color 2  2-7/8" x 23" strip into eight 2-7/8" squares.

Cut the Color 3  2-7/8" x 11-1/2" strip into four 2-7/8" squares.

Cut the Color 5  2-7/8" x 34-1/2" strip into twelve 2-7/8" squares...
