To piece the block, first construct the inner block, by following the diagram at left for placement and direction of the squares and half squares. Then join two pairs of Color 3 6-1/2" rectangle units as shown, and sew one to the bottom, and one to the top of the center block. Make pairs of the Color 3 8-1/2" rectangles in the same manner and add these to the left and right of the center! |
