The first thing that I would
recommend that you do, is go to the Practice
Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper
piecing, come on back and try the Eight Pointed Star Variation 2
Block! You will need to print out four copies of each of the two
units needed per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat
Quarters will be plenty! |

When you are done paper piecing
the eight units...join them as quadrants, and then join the four
quadrants as a block, as shown at left...using as always those SCANT
1/4" seams! Alternate pressing directions with each addition... |

Here's another four by five
quilt, with a pieced border, quarter squares in the four corners,
and a thin binding...Reminds me of the fourth of July!
