Using the templates provided, cut out all the pieces you will need, and now let's get to...

** Sewing the Block ** 

Sew four blade tips to the left side the corner squares, using a scant 1/4" seam press towards blade tips. Make four units like this... 

Now sew the blade triangles to the wider flat edge of the blade pieces, again using a scant 1/4" seam. Press towards blades. Add a blade tip to the right of this, as shown at left, pressing towards blade tip. Make four units like this...

Sew the first unit we made to the top of each blade unit, pressing seam towards top unit. Make four units like this...

Now sew two of the completed blade units to opposing sides of the center square, pressing seams towards the blades...

Sew a side triangle to the right and left of the remaining two blade units, pressing seams towards the side triangles...on to Page 2!
