Cross and Crown - Page 2

Start by sewing together your small triangles together, right sides together, using a scant 1/4" seam. You need to have eight of these combos, four with the dark on the right, four with the dark on the left (not shown)

Then, attach these units to the side of a corner Color 2 square, as shown, first to the bottom side...
...and then to the right side. Make four of THESE units...
To each of these, sew on a large Color 1 triangle. Trim these back to measure 5-1/2" if needed...
 

Now we start making rows! First sew one of your corner units to a connecting Color 2 rectangle...
 

 

Then add a second corner unit to the other side of that connecting rectangle. This is row one! Do another of these to make row three!

 

 

To make row two, sew the 2-1/2" Color 1 square to one end of a Color 2 rectangle...

 

Then sew another Color 2 rectangle on the opposite side of the Color 1 square... = row two!
