** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

First, cut out the templates you have printed off. Transfer them to a larger paper, add 1/4" to all sides for seam allowances, and cut out these new pieces as your templates to cut fabrics from.

Using the A template, cut three pieces from Color 1. Using the B template cut three pieces from Color 2...

Then, using the F template cut one piece from Color 3. Using the E template cut three pieces from Color 4...

Now using the C template cut two pieces from Color 5. Using the D template cut six pieces from Color 5. Using the G and H templates, cut one of each from Color 5...

Starting at a point 1/4" down from the top of the seam, sew a Color 1 parallelogram to a Color 2 parallelogram along the side seam, using the standard SCANT 1/4" seam. Press seam allowance towards the darker fabric. Make three of these units...

Next sew a D triangle to one side of an E square, right sides together, and using a SCANT 1/4" seam. Sew another D triangle to the opposite side of the E square. Press seam allowances towards the E square. Make three of these units...on to Page 2!
