The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Christmas Star 2003! You will need to print out four copies of the template A page, eight copies of template B, four copies of template C, two copies of template D, four copies of template E and eight copies of template F per wall hanging you want to make on very lightweight paper. To make just a block you need 1-A, 2-B, and 1-C.

Paper piece all units. After the block units are done, lay them out as shown at left. Sew three horizontal rows, then join the rows to make the quilt! Make four blocks like this for the wall hanging...

From the border units listed at left, make two of each of the border rows shown at left...

Cut two 1-3/4" x 12-1/2" strips from tan. Cut one 1-3/4" x 27-3/4" strip from tan. These will be sashing strips...on to Page 2!
