The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Children of Israel Block! You will need to print out one copy of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. A Fat Quarter of each fabric should be ample!

After your units are paper pieced, join them as shown at left to complete the block! :o)

The quilt is three blocks by four, with background white sashings that will make the blocks appear to "float". This is all surrounded by a triple blue/white/blue border with blue cornerstones, then a single thin white border, and finally a wider solid border :o)
