** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** 

Start by marking and cutting the Color 1  3-3/8" x 13-1/2" strip into four 3-3/8" squares...

Then mark and cut the Color 1  2-7/8" x 5-3/4" strip into two 2-7/8" squares. Stack these squares and cut them once to make four corner setting triangles...

Now mark and cut the Color 1 5-1/4" x 10-1/2" strip into two 5-1/4" squares. Stack and cut these twice on the diagonal to make four quarter square triangles for the side setting triangles...

Then mark and cut the Color 2  10-1/8" square into nine 3-3/8" squares...

 Now sew diagonal rows, starting in the upper left corner : Row One = Corner triangle,  Side Triangle- Color 2 sq-Side Triangle, Row Two = Side Triangle-Color 2 sq-Color 1 sq- Color 2 sq- Side Triangle, Row Three = Corner tri-Color 2 sq-Color 1 sq- Color 2 sq-Color 1 sq-Color 2 sq-corner tri, Row Four = Side tri- Color 2 sq-Color 1 sq-Color 2 sq-Side Triangle, Row Five = Side Triangle-Color 2 sq-Side Triangle, Row Six = corner tri. Sew these rows together alternating pressing directions by row. All Done!
