The first thing that I would
recommend that you do, is go to the Practice
Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper
piecing, come on back and try a Center-Nine Star Block! You will need to print out
one copy of the template page per block you want to make on very
lightweight paper. You'll also need nine 1-1/2" squares
of fabrics for the nine patch! |

Sew together the Center-Nine as shown at left, using all scant
1/4" seams. Press the top and bottom rows to the outside, and the
middle row to the center.

Then, after the paper piecing units are done, sew them
to the nine patch as shown at left...and that's the block! It's a
great way to use up scraps! ...on to Page
