Blooming Squares - Page 2

Now place the Color 7 and Color 1  2-7/8" squares right sides together. Draw in the diagonal. Stitch 1/4" away from the line on each side of it. Cut apart on the drawn line. This will give you two half square triangles. Press to darker side. Trim to measure 2-1/2" if needed. Now make the four patch unit shown at left with the Color 7  2-1/2" square, the two half squares we just made, and one Color 1  2-1/2" square...

To construct the block start by adding the shortest Color 6 to the left of the four patch, then add the longer Color 6 unit to the bottom. Keep working in the same manner...add the shorter Color 5 unit to the left, and the longer Color 5 to the bottom. Add strips in the order number shown on the drawing at left. Note* those are not the Color #'s....they are the order in which you add on the strips!

Here is a four block by four block wall hanging, with flying geese borders!
