The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Birdhouses block! You will need to print out one copy of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. You also need six black circles, or 6 black buttons. Fat Quarters will be fine! |

After all your units are pieced, lay them out as shown at left. Sew the two right hand birdhouse units together. Then sew the two left hand birdhouses together. Sew those to the right hand one, and the block is done! No quilt to show, but this will go well with other Spring themed blocks, or in a birdhouse sampler! Happy Quilting All! Marcia :o) |
