The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try the Arkansas Snowflake! You will need to print out one copy of each of the units needed per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. A Fat Quarter of each fabric should be ample!

After your units are paper pieced join them as shown at left. Be sure to join the two center units to make a square first, then add each of the two sides :o) Nice Easy Block!

The quilt is four blocks by five, but in the corners of the inner blocks I replaced the plain corner squares with half squares, to make pinwheels. The border is pieced top units from the snowflake :o)

Happy Quilting Folks!
