** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

Start by marking and cutting the Color 1 and Color 3 4-7/8" x 9-3/4" strips into two 4-7/8' squares of each. Stack the squares and cut them once on the diagonal to make four half square triangles of each. Repeat this with the other Color 1 and Color 3 strips of the same size to make a total of sixteen half square triangles of each... |

Mark and cut the Color 1 2-1/2" x 10" strip into four 2-1/2" squares... |

Mark and cut the Color 2 18" x 36" strip into thirty-two 4-1/2" squares... |

Cut the Color 3 4-1/2" x 18"strip into four 4-1/2" squares... |

Mark and cut the Color 4 18" x 42" strip into sixteen 4-1/2" x 10-1/2" rectangles... |

Now mark and cut the Color 4 13-1/2" x 18" strip into twelve 4-1/2" squares...on to Page 2! |
