Fat Quarters will be fine!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try an Album Twist block! You will need to print out two copies of the A template page and one of the B page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper.( The B Page is just one square that needs to be cut)

On the wrong side of the center square mark the 1/4" seam line at all corners. Now paper piece all four side units. Sew one of the PP units to the center square as shown at left, from the outer edge to a point 1/4 from the end of the square. Press seam towards the PP unit...

Working counter clockwise, add another PP unit to the left...

Add another to the bottom...on to Page 2!
