This makes a 15" block!...nine spots for signatures per block...or as I show here, you could quilt in some spaces! :o)

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Start by marking and cutting the Color 1  7" x  14" rectangle into eight 3-1/2" squares...

 

 

Then mark and cut the Color 3  3-1/2" x 31-1/2" strip into nine 3-1/2" squares...

 

Next, sew a Color 2  1-1/2" x 14" strip to a Color 1  1-1/2" x 14" strip, right sides together, using a 1/4" seam. Press seam allowance towards the inner strip. Add another Color 1  1-1/2" x 14" strip to the bottom, also pressing towards the inner strip. Cut into four 3-1/2" squares...

 

Now sew a Color 3  1-1/2" x 12" strip to a Color 2-1/2" x 12" strip, pressing seam allowance towards the outer strip. Add another Color 2  1-1/2" x 12" strip to the bottom, pressing seam towards the outer strip. Cut this at 1-1/2" intervals, to make eight strips...

 

Then sew a Color 2  1-1/2" x 6" strip to a Color 3  1-1/2" x 6" strip, pressing seam towards the center strip. Add another Color 3  1-1/2" x 6" strip to the bottom, pressing towards the center strip. Cut this at 1-1/2" intervals to make four strips...
