Next sew a Color 2 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangle to the right and left sides of the center nine patch. Press seam allowances towards the center. Then sew a Color 2 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" plus squares unit to the top and bottom of the previous unit. Keep sewing with 1/4" seams throughout! Press seam allowances towards the top and bottom strips... |

Add the next round by sewing Color 1 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" rectangles to the right and left, again pressing seams towards the center. Add the two Color 1 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" with squares pieces to the top and bottom, pressing seams towards the top and bottom strips... |

Finish off the block by
following the same construction order, using the two Color 2 1-1/2" x 7-1/2" rectangles, and the two Color 2 1-1
2" x 7-1/2" with squares units. All done! ...
